The first Granny to Trendy Workshops took place on the afternoon of Thursday February 23, 2023.
All 12 participants attended the first session of the workshops. Helena Antonia Silva, from Vintage for a Cause and the founder of the workshops in Portugal travelled to Zaragoza and was present on this day. Helena tols the story of how the workshops began and how more that 750 women have participated in them in Portugal. She welcomed and thanked each and every one of the women, also making them feel special as they are the first participants in Spain and part of the pilot programme. Moreover, Helena contacted via Zoom with participants of different workshops in Portugal for the women to tell first hand their experience in these workshops.
After this introduction, the first session followed the established methodology of the workshops which contemplated the following objectives: To get to know the programme, to understand the level of knowledge of the participants and the group presentations.
